TacticID®-N Plus: Handheld Narcotics Identification

B&W Tek’s TacticID®-N Plus spectrometer is a field-ready handheld instrument designed exclusively for non-contact forensic analysis of narcotics, precursors, cutting agentsand pharmaceutical drugs by law enforcement personnel.

Thanks to its intuitive workflow and touchscreen, the instrument enables samples to be analyzed non-destructively through opaque and transparent packaging. The sample threat level is prominently displayed for customs, law enforcementand border protection to act swiftly with very little sample contact.

The TacticID-N Plus employs lab-proven Raman spectroscopy, thus enabling users to achieve actionable identification of illicit substances without affecting the integrity of the sample or the chain of evidence.

As a standard, the TacticID-N Plus is available with an extensive library of more than 1,000 substances. In addition, users can access periodic library updates to constantly maintain up-to-date identification capabilities and stay ahead of emerging narcotics.

Key Features

Critical component mixture ID: Users can determine the components and threat level within a mixed sample.

Narcotics library: The instrument includes the industry’s most comprehensive on-board library of narcotics and pharmaceutical drugs.

Indirect contact analysis: Scanning is performed directly through bottles, plastics and other translucent packaging materials, thus increasing user safety.

USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity: Users can easily and securely manage data, send results and update software/libraries. Reports can be directly written to USB.

Touch screen quick notes: The touch screen interface enables users to add custom notes to a scan result anywhere and anytime.

Actionable results: Immediate visual safety information is offered in the form of GHS and NFPA704 safety information displayed together with red, yellowand green result screens.

On-board camera: Users can capture photos at the scene and record any information related to the sample with the help of the onboard camera. Photos and notes are included in the test report.
