Quantum Precision Instruments
Quantum Precision Instruments Pty Ltd (QPI) has been in operation since late 1999. In 2004 Quantum Precision Instruments Asia Pte Ltd has been incorpoarated in Singapore. In 2006 both companies have undergone a critical restructure with Quantum Precision Instruments Asia Pte Ltd acquiring all IP from the Australian company. Now entire R&D effort and the Company HQ are located in Singapore. The company is involved in Nanotechnology and is developing metrological devices for ultra-high precision positioning and MEMS/NEMS (Micro/Nano-Electro Mechanical Systems) sensors.
The prime application areas are lithographic mask alignment for the new generation of wafers (sub-0.13 micrometer pattern, 300 mm diameter) and profilometery of wafer surface. Quantum Precision Instruments nanoTrek® devices belong to a totally new class of nanotechnology based electro-mechanical systems capable of extremely precise measurement of translations, angular alignment, accelerations, and vibrations as well as several other measurements.
