Huygen Corp.

Huygen Corporation was founded in Illinois and incorporated in Delaware in 1968. Initial technical work and products centered on optics and wave motion (in ultrasonics), and the name derived from Christiaan Huygens seemed appropriate. This 17th Century Dutch scientist, who in his time ranked second only to Newton, did remarkable work in mathematics, physics, optics, the movement and velocity of both sound and light, and astronomy. The company name recognizes his contribution to the world of science and was chosen to reflect our corporate emphasis on both innovation and technical competency. Throughout our 35 year history we have been happy and fortunate to see the products of our technology find acceptance and use throughout the world with the assistance of a fine group of technically competent agents. We are also proud that all of our products have been –and continue to be -- designed, manufactured, programmed and calibrated in the USA.
