Grips are categorized by the test type and the force capacity. Below is a list of standard ADMET grips. Custom options are also available.
Manual Vise
Manual vise grips are versatile general purpose grips for capacities of 50kN or less. Click here forMore information
Pneumatic
Pneumatic grips are available as either wedge or vise types. They allow for rapid sample changes and constant clamping force. Pneumatic grips are attached to the testing machine using eye-end type adapters.Click here forMore information
Wedge
Wedge grips easy specimen loading, alignment and positioning. They are well suited for testing high strength materials, such as metals and composites. Click here forMore information
Rope and Thread
These grips are applicable for filaments, cords, yarn, fine wires, narrow ribbons, ropes, etc. The guide rollers generate a slow notch free stress relief to prevent the breakage of the specimen in the clamping area. Pneumatic versions available for most grip designs. Click here forMore information
Ribbon and Webbing
These grips are applicable for webbings and ribbons. The drums offer stress relief to prevent the breakage of the specimen in the clamping area. Click here forMore information
Bend Fixtures
Bend fixtures are used to determine the flexural properties of rigid and semi-rigid materials. They are available in a variety of capacities, support diameter and widths, spans, and 3 or 4 point configurations. Click here forMore information
Compression Platens
Compression platens are used to determine the compression characteristics of material samples. Platens are commonly manufactured from aluminum or steel and attach to the testing machine with an eye-end connector. Click here forMore information
Pinching
These are versatile small tensile grips. Pinching grips are suitable for low force applications. They can be chain mounted for flexible positioning.Click here forMore information
Peel Fixtures
ADMET’s easy to use adhesive fixtures are employed by the adhesive industry to test the peel strength, bonding, and shear properties of adhesives.Click here forMore information
Hydraulic
ADMET’s hydraulic grips are meant for high force applications with capacities up to 2,000 kN.Click here forMore information
Self-Tightening
Self-tightening grips are ideal for materials that thin as they are stretched such as elastomers and other soft materials. They enable fast loading of materials like plastics, fabrics, films, and rubber.Click here forMore information
Torsion
These grips are designed to hold samples during torsion testing.Click here forMore information
Puncture Fixtures
These fixtures are designed to test the puncture resistance of materials. Click here forMore information
