X21: One Component System for Bonding and Priming Polyolefinic Surfaces

The Master Bond X21 is a one part system that may be used as an adhesive, primer or adhesion promoter. As a primer, it is used for difficult to bond to substrates such as polyolefins. This product improves surface wettability, enhances protection of substrates prior to bonding and can be employed to promote adhesion between polyethylene, polypropylene and metals, ceramics, rubbers, composites, plastics. Surfaces primed with X21 are compatible with a wide variety of adhesives. As an adhesive, it is utilized for bonding polyolefin parts to each other. Maximum area of effectiveness for joining these substrates is about 1 square inch.When employed as a primer, there is no such limitation in the size of the pieces. A thin layer must be applied to each surface and then mated. X21 is a very low viscosity solvent based system that is easy to dispense and process.
