X100-TT: Tissue Testing Machine

The dedicated Tissue Testing Machine based on the X100-1 Universal Testing Machine is equipped with a “Finch Wet Strength” fixture and pneumatically controlled grips for dry and wet tests in accordance with BS EN ISO 12625 or TAPPI T456 and T576 standards.

The machine’s universal design, which includes complete computer control and a precise AC servo drive system, enables it to be readily converted for different test types (such as burst, peel, compression, etc.) using Testometric’s wide range of fixtures and grips.

The X100-TT is a completely digital testing system with extremely precise control and accuracy, as well as automated computer control of test techniques for ease of use.

Accuracy greater than +/−0.5% down to 1/1000th of the load cell capacity is achieved with high-resolution load cells

Automatic detection of load cells and extensometers, including on-device calibration parameter storage

Software calibration check capability for quick machine accuracy verification

Load cells can withstand an overload of 800% without being damaged

Pre-loaded self-cleaning ball screws with high efficiency for rapid, silent testing; with sealed for life lubricated end bearings

Crosshead guiding system for perfect alignment and smooth operation

Precision crosshead control is provided via a digital AC servo drive and a brushless servo motor, thus enabling maintenance-free operation and positional control at 20,000 pulses per revolution.

Systems for high-speed data collection with up to four simultaneous channels

Expansion channel for additional devices like extensometers, micrometers, calipers, balancesand so on.

Loading frames with high rigidity, robust specialized steel crossheadsand sturdy extruded support columns with T-slots for accessory attachment

Built for Precision

Force Measurement

The dedicated tissue testing model is universally calibrated and is better than Grade 0.5 EN 7500-1, DIN 51221 ASTM E-4and AFNOR A03-501. It features a minimum range of 0.4%–100% and automatic load cell recognition. The resolution is 1 part in 500,000 and there is electronic load cell protection as well.

Extension Measurement

The full frame length comes up to a maximum resolution of 0.0001mm (selectable). The accuracy is about +/- 0.01mm and the absolute, relativeand auxiliary modes are in mm, inch and percent.

Speed Control

With speeds as low as 0.001mm/min, there is exceptional low-speed performance. There is Temperature and current protection for the drive system.

Load Frame

A rigid frame with a precision linear guiding system and a stiff extruded support column is used. The frame stiffness is 5 kN/mm, including an integrated K factor facility. The Dedicated Z-Direction Tester also has a ball screw with bellows that recirculates. Electronic limit trips, total travel tripsand customer-programmable safety stops are all available.

Electronics System

The modular electronics system transfers data to the PC at a high rate (500Hz) through a high-speed USB connection. A wide range of extensometers and accessories may be connected via easy plug-in interface modules thanks to the extensive input choices.

Safety Features

Extensive safety features, such as E-Stop, programmable extension limits and overload/impact detection, assure the highest standards of operator safety. The instrument offers complete compliance with international safety standards such as 2014/30/EU Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, 2006/42/EU Machinery Directiveand 2014/35/EU Low Voltage Directive.

Optional Tablet PC

When paired with the optional TPC1 tablet PC with touchscreen control, the machine transforms into a profound independent system that eliminates the need for an external PC or laptop.

The system provides a fully-featured test environment with the ability to develop and save an infinite number of methods and results by using a specialized version of Testometric’s WinTest software optimized for touchscreen use. The mounting arm, which attaches to the machine column T-Slots, offers adjustable height, reachand viewing angle, allowing the user to select the most ergonomic working posture.

The machine may also be linked to a standard desktop PC or laptop using the sophisticated WinTest EC software.

The full WinTest Analysis software package is included in all Testometric models.

The WinTest Analysis is a product that has gone through many years of continuous development. It is a versatile and user-friendly software package suitable for all forms of material testing. Tensile, compression, flexural, peel, shear, rip, cyclic, creepand multi-stage tests are all integrated.

It includes a large number of industry-standard test methods as well as the ability to build and save an endless number of additional test methods. All test data is automatically stored, and it is simple to export to other software programs, such as Word, Excel, Accessand SPC systems, for increased report output.

All machines can now be web-linked directly to Testometric for remote inquiry, monitoringand software updates due to the availability of the RCE remote connection option.
