WES Engineering Solutions provides 4 specialist engineering services to a diverse range of clients, in a variety of industries. The aim of the Engineering solutions group is to offer a complete solution to any engineering problem.

WES now employs more than 50 people to run its extensive facilities, with specialists in 4 key areas- Resistance Welding, Hardmetal Engineering, Advanced Engineering, and Design Consultation. We have a team of highly skilled and experienced Technical Support operatives covering the UK and beyond.

Resistance Welding

Our Resistance Welding division are the UK market leaders in the manufacture of Spot welding consumables and equipment. We traditionally supply major automotive manufacturers, including Honda, Nissan, BMW, Landrover, Ford, and Jaguar amongst others. More recently we have also been supplying to 2nd tier manufacturers, as well as various other industries. With over 60 man-years of resistance welding experience, we are able to provide solutions for even the most complex application.

Hardmetal Engineering

Our Hardmetal Engineering division specializes in the machining of very hard metals - to incredible tolerances. Having started trading in 1979, we have an unquestionable level of experience, as well as outstanding skill levels. Working with some of the hardest metals in the world demands an additional level of knowledge that is simply not available in the general precision engineering sector. In order to maintain and increase the stringent levels of accuracy that we regularly achieve, Hardmetal has specialist machinery designed to work specifically with hard and exotic metals.

Advanced Engineering

Our Advanced Engineering division provides fast and accurate machining of bespoke components on our state of the art equipment, using one hit machining. We have machines like the Mori Seiki NL2500SY/700 Mill-Turn which is capable of creating intricate components, from raw material, in a range of metals, at an unbelievable speed. With customers in the aerospace, medical, oil and gas, and automotive industries, our expertise is wide ranging, and comprehensive.

Design Consultation

Our Design Consultation division supports the other 3 departments by providing detailed illustrations and animations on our market-leading CAD/CAM software. The highly trained design team also produce professional engineering drawings for research and development, proposal development, and other purposes where the customer only wants the drawing.
