Ward Automation

Ward Automation was established in Sligo, Ireland in 1995. The company was founded by John Ward. John previously worked with a multinational medical device company initially as a machine designer and later managing automation projects sourced from established equipment builders throughout Europe.

As almost all automation equipment at that time was imported into Ireland, John saw an opportunity to fill the gap in the market and formed Ward Automation Sligo. Initially the business operated from a rented premises.

In 2001 the company expanded into a purpose built factory and is currently extending the premises further to facilitate the continued growth of the business. Over the years second generation family members have joined the company in various engineering and management roles. A loyal and committed workforce has been synonymous to our success.

In 2007 Ward Automation Galway was formed and operates from a purpose built factory in Galway city. The business is managed by Dave Mc Morrow, whose extensive experience in Engineering and R&D management roles with a major multinational manufacturer of minimally invasive devices has established Ward Automation as the leading equipment developer in this sector.

Both Sligo and Galway sites are ISO accredited and supply equipment worldwide to many leading blue chip multinationals.
