On both solid and liquid samples, the VT cell is utilized for ultraviolet, infraredand visible spectroscopy. It has a vacuum jacket and refrigerant for sub-ambient cooling and a heater block for above-ambient measuring conditions.
Variable Temperature Cell Holder
Specac’s Heatable Transmission/Flow Cells are compatible with the standard VT transmission cell holder. The 3″ × 2″ slide mounting plate or a BenchmarkTM baseplate are used to install the cell holder into an optical spectrometer sample chamber.
The cell holder comes with NaCl windows, however, alternative NIR, Vis, UVand Infrared transmission window materials are also available.
For solid materials, the VT cell is operational from –190 °C to +250 °C, and for liquid samples, from –70 °C to +250 °C.
Four Port Variable Temperature Cuvette Holder
The Variable Temperature Cuvette Holder is a four-port variant of the regular Variable Temperature Cell Holder that can accommodate quartz glass cuvettes with a pathlength up to 10 mm. This cell holder has been specifically designed for Raman, fluorescenceand UV spectroscopic analysis of liquid samples.
The four-port design allows collection of the (scattered) radiation at a 90° angle to the incident radiation, as well as at a 180° angle as evaluated with a standard configuration.
