Viewbits has been fortunate to become a Pioneer with several specialized camera technologies in the same year. Being a pioneer at a "technological inflection point" where CMOS is poised to overtake CCD technology we have focused our energies on cameras with features that heretofore have been available only with standard CCD cameras. Most of our engineers have advanced degrees with many years of experience in other fields.

Our CMOS engineering manager has a Ph.D. from UC Irvine in Physics. He spent many years with major medical imaging companies. He brought a team together to bring new vitality to our lives and to the imaging industry.

We believe that CMOS has now ARRIVED. USB-2 provides incredible technological leverage for image capture for machine vision, inspection, and instrumentation. We are finally shipping Megapixel cameras that provide 27 fps and offer outstanding signal to noise ratios. CMOS can now be compared to CCD cameras.
