Vertilon Corp.

Vertilon was founded in 2006 with the aim of delivering advanced products to markets that utilize multi-anode photomultiplier tubes, avalanche photodiode arrays, and other multi-element charge-based sensors. Recognizing a substantial need for off-the-shelf high performance equipment to meet this diverse and growing opportunity, Vertilon’s founder and president, Vincent Palermo, assembled a team and put together the company’s product line. As an industry veteran and founder of other successful technology companies, Vince had acquired significant relevant experience in building organizations to deliver exceptional electronic products and services. During his ten years at Aura Communications, a semiconductor company he founded, Vince held positions of president, vice president of engineering, and chief technology officer. More recently while at Vtech Engineering, another company he founded and returned to in 2005 after Aura Communications, Vince led the team that developed the latest generation of PhotoniQ products. This product line which represents the culmination of seven years of R&D activity was acquired by Vertilon and used as the basis for its family of PhotoniQ multi-channel charge acquisition systems.
