Vatell was founded by the company's president, Lawrence Langley, in 1985. Located near the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in Blacksburg, Virginia. Vatell's mission is to develop business opportunities from patented results of university research.

One of our most successful developments is the line of HFM heat flux microsensors which we started producing 10 years ago.Since then we have added the ThermogageTM line of circular foil heat flux gages, and our newest sensor the BF sensor. These 3 product lines give us the widest selection of heat flux measurement instruments available from any manufacturer.
