Experimentation and trial and error are the main aids when deciding which clay is best suited to your project. Our clay analysis sheet is a good place to start. It will help you to select a clay that offers the right temperature and colour for oxidation or reduction, the right texture, the right hardness and the right shrinkage and absorption.
