The UVM-1™ microscope is designed for the UV-visible-NIR range and can be used for either broadband or spectrally selective imaging. And because of its flexible design, it can be configured for transmission, absorbance, reflectance, fluorescence, luminescence and polarization microscopy. All with the same instrument. The UVM-1™ can also be fully automated or operated manually or anywhere in between. Which issues was the UVM-1™ microscope developed to address?

The UVM-1™ was designed as a ultraviolet and near-infrared microscope to acquire images of microscopic samples beyond what the naked eye can perceive through a standard microscope. It was developed as a precision research-grade instrument and is currently in use in many laboratories around the world where it is used in the identification and qualitification of protein crystals and the quality control of hard disks and semiconductors. It is able to acquire high resolution images due to the use of shorter wavelength light while also being able to image materials and contaminants that are normally invisible to the naked eye.
