U.S. Electrofused Minerals (USEM), a member of the Curimbaba Group, was established in 1982 as the U.S. manufacturing representative for Elfusa and a distributor/manufacturer of industrial minerals.USEM with its sister company Elfusa, is one of thelargest producers / distributors of brown and white fused aluminum oxides in the world. Primary markets for our products are the abrasive, refractory, blasting, chemical and nonskid industries. USEM's sister company in Brazil, Elfusa Geral de Eletrofusão Ltda, has 28 electric arc furnaces with a capacity of 120,000 metric tons of fused oxides annually.Bauxite raw material is provided by Mineração Curimbaba, ISO 9001 certified, producing over 300,000 tons of several industrial minerals per yearand has over 350 million metric tons in reserve, guaranteeing product availability for several decades. The production capability, advanced engineering, quality control, R&D and pristine customer service are value added tools recognized for all the customers worldwide.
