The novel THz-Raman® Spectroscopy Modules supplied by Coherent allow Raman spectroscopy measurements to be carried out in the Terahertz (THz) region of the electromagnetic spectrum; allowing the same transitions observed in THz spectroscopy to be observed without impacting measurement of the fingerprint region.
The Terahertz region contains a unique “structural fingerprint” which can be used alongside the conventional IR region’s “chemical fingerprint” to determine both the molecular structure and the chemical composition of a sample in one measurement.
The TR-BENCH is designed to sit on the lab benchtop and is available with a range of different sample interface accessories making the measurement of different samples fast and simple. These accessories include a steerable non-contact optic and a practical holder for tablets and vials.
The TR-BENCH is provided with a standard cage mounting plate (with centering on the collimated output beam) which can work with custom collection optics or can be effortlessly integrated into custom systems. The system can be provided with dual-port/dual polarization outputs for S and P polarization measurements or with a circular polarization output.
