The Polymer Centre

The Polymer Centre at the University of Sheffield is a network of 45 academic research groups at the University of Sheffield. Located in our Faculties of Science, Engineering and Medicine, our interests span all areas of polymer science and technology and we are the UK’s largest single-university academic network in the field.

The Polymer Centre is a key player in the UK materials science community and are proud to work with a number of related organisations at a strategic level. The Polymer Centre at Sheffield is part of the Polymer IRC.

The Polymer IRC brings together skills and resources in macromolecular science and technology from leading academic institutions:
