The Filtered-Air HS–5000C – Ductless Hoods

The HS-5000 from Airfiltronix is a completely self contained, filtered-air workstation and work surface in a single package. It features a rear mounted baffle that provides horizontal laminar air flow with low turbulence.

The instruments or containers inside are fully visible and easily accessible, due to the angled clear polycarbonate shield over the large work area. The sloping door is available as a solid polycarbonate hinged panel or with a cutout for a microscope.

An LED strip that provides illumination or an LED dual gooseneck lamp with a more concentrated light source for microscope viewing are some of the lighting options available. This unit is often chosen for use with a microscope and is supplied with a suitable opening in the face shield to accommodate most stereozoom microscopes.

The filter housing can accommodate one or more filters simultaneously up to 7” high and therefore, the same station can be used for multiple pollutants or procedures. Filters can be easily accessed for replacement without using any tools.

The system is powered by a 530 cfm rated blower and has a variable speed control for efficient and quiet operation. The weight of the workstation and the blower unit is approximately 50 pounds and 32 pounds, respectively, allowing each unit to be easily moved to any workplace.

Enclosure is provided as standard as a negative pressure blower, but is also supplied with a reverse flow blower providing class 100 positive pressure clean air.
