The BE-1- Ductless Hoods

The Balance Enclosure, model BE-1, from Airfiltronix is the ideal workstation to provide protection to production workers, lab technicians, and researchers when weighing, measuring, pouring, mixing and performing all of the process operations that may involve organic vapors, powders, particulates, and dust.

The enclosure provides full access to the balance while keeping the effects of air movement and drafts to a minimum for highly accurate weighing. It is made up of clear acrylic with solid aluminum framing, enabling full light penetration from all angles.

Airfiltronix can supply a light to be mounted outside the enclosure when natural light is inadequate. The front hinged panel featured in the enclosure is constructed of a durable clear polycarbonate material, providing easy access. A port is provided at the rear of the enclosure for electrical line cord.

The enclosure features a variable speed blower to continuously adjust airflow and face velocity. A HEPA filter is available to remove particles down to 0.3 µm in size at an efficiency of 99.99%. To handle gross particulate, a pre-filter can be used in combination with the HEPA.

Gross particulate is removed from the air using the pre-filter. This process eliminates premature clogging of the HEPA filter, which increases its service life. Optional carbon filters are supplied for adsorption of vapors.
