THALES ANGENIEUX is a French firm which was founded in 1935 by Pierre ANGENIEUX. It is part of the HTO (High Tech Optics) business line of the international THALES Group, a world leader in optical systems.

Although THALES ANGENIEUX is known worldwide for the invention of the zoom lens (awarded Oscars on several occasions in Hollywood) and its lenses used by NASA for the retransmission of the first steps of man on the moon, it is now using its worldwide experience in high-performance optics in more specific sectors: cinema, video surveillance, defence, medical field, space.
