Teer Coatings Ltd, based in Droitwich was established in Worcestershire in 1985. Since this time they have been involved in the development of a wide range of advanced coating processes, deposition plant and test equipment. The company is now a world leader in PVD coatings technology.

Commercial Coating Services.

Teer Coatings Ltd have one of thebest equipped production PVDcoating facilities in the world, and are able to offer anextensive range of coatings on a production basis. The coatings offeredcover a wide range of standard coatings and also many coatingsdeveloped for specific applications.

Standard coatings include TiN, TiAlN, TiCN, CrN and CrAlTiN. TeerCoatings also produce the patented solid lubricant coatingsMoST™ (based on MoS2) and two carbon based coatings Dymon-iCand Graphit-iC™ which offer combined low friction and highwear resistance.

A specialist coatingservice is also offered providing unique coatings to customerrequirements. The special coatings service is able to meet customerrequirements for both individual and unusual coatings, from anextensive range of target materials in house, and for coatings onto nonstandard components. Four coating systems are allocated to the specialcoatings service enabling flexibility and fast turn round times.

Precious metals are available in a range of purities. We havevarious purities on site, usually 99.99%, and other purities can besupplied if required.

A contract R&Dservice is available for the development of new coatings and / orsystems for particular applications.

PVD Coating Systems.

Teer Coatings design andmanufacture PVD coating systems. The currentrange of systems, from small R&Dbased systems to large production systems, designed and manufactured byTeer Coatings, have been developedas a result of a continuing and intensive development programme andoffer an unrivalled combination of flexibility, reliability,controllability and ease of use. The systems are fully computercontrolled as standard, enabling simple, accurate and repeatableprocessing without constant supervision. Custom built systems can bedesigned and manufactured to customer requirements. Barrel coaters arealso available for coating of difficult to handle components such asfasteners, powders and ball bearings.

Magnetrons.

Magnetrons are available in alarge range of sizes, unbalanced or balanced, circular or rectangular.They can be manufactured either for flange mounting or internalfixturing and can be retro-fitted into existing customer machines. Alarge range of targets is also available from TeerCoatings.
