Techcomp Instruments

Techcomp Instruments is a scientific instrument manufacturer based in Hong Kong with a global presence, specialising in three core technologies: Molecular Spectroscopy, Chromatography and Laboratory Products. Our operations date back to the early 1900s.

Techcomp’s European headquarters are located on a modern campus in Livingston close to Edinburgh, Scotland. Techcomp Europe (TEU) comprises a select number of well-respected European scientific instrument manufacturers with a long and rich history of product innovation. We also have a strong global commercial network with offices across the globe providing excellent customer service.

Since acquiring Edinburgh Instruments in 2012 and taking the decision to establish our European headquarters there, we have made significant investment in both our manufacturing and research and development facilities. In 2014, we opened the Techcomp Research and Engineering Centre (TREC) which works on exciting product innovation and development across all our brands and in 2019 we expanded our production facilities with the addition of a new purpose built facility.

Techcomp Europe is led by our CEO, Richard Finlayson, who lives in Edinburgh with his young family.
