T-650-W LEGEND 3 Drill with Ergonomically Designed Operator’s Station

The REICHdrill T-650-W LEGEND 3 is an advanced drilling equipment that comes with a host of features such as a hoist and pulldown system, air compressor, rotary head, mast, power units and levelling jacks, amongst others.

Some of the components are detailed below:

Power Unit

The T-650-W LEGEND 3 includes Caterpillar C13 ACERT diesel engine, rated 475 HP (354 kW) @ 1800 rpm with 175 gallon (662 L) fuel capacity.

Rotary Head

0 to 103 rpm at 59,975 lbs-in (6,777 Nm) torque, based on 100% efficiency; nylon guide shoes are included. Optional torques and speeds are provided.

Rated Capacity

Rated capacity is for 4.5 in. to 8 in. or 114 mm to 204 mm utilizing down-the-hole hammer drilling. Maximum depth differs based on formation, hole diameter, and equipment selected.

Standard Mounting

Standard mounting for the REICHdrill T-650-W LEGEND 3 is a three axle truck with 20,000 lb. (9,072 kg) front, 485 HP (362 kW) diesel engine, 46,000 lb. (20,865 kg) rear axles and 10 speed transmission

Leveling Jacks

Three leveling jacks featuring integral safety check valves are used by the T- 650-W LEGEND 3. Two rear jacks measures 4 in. (102 mm) bore x 36 in. (914 mm), while the single front jack measures 5 in. (127 mm) bore x 48 in. (1.2 m) stroke.

Mast

The T-650-W LEGEND 3 includes a heavy duty 10 in. (254 mm) wide flange steel beam mast. The total length is 30.5 ft. (9.3 m) for 24 ft. (7.3 m) stroke, and is lowered and raised by two 4.5 in. (114 mm) diameter hydraulic cylinders having safety counterbalance valves. An optional mast for 28 ft. (8.6 m) stroke is also provided.

Drill Pipe Handling

The T-650-W LEGEND 3 comes with a standard 7 pod loader for 3.5 in. (89 mm) x 20 ft. (6.1 m) pin down REICHdrill PD style drill pipe. The loader includes a hydraulic indexing and auto lock feature. A hydraulic breakout wrench and a holding wrench with hydraulic breakout are also offered. An 8,500 lb hydraulic winch with an extendable jib boom and a 270° hydraulic swing is included. In addition, a wireless radio remote is included to help in drill pipe handling for controlling the functions of retract and extend, loader index, jib swing, winch up and 2 speed down. A 6 pod loader for 4 in. (102 mm) x 20 ft. (6.1 m) pin up REICHdrill style drill pipe is provided as an option.
