Syntec Optics, Inc.

First incorporated as Syntec Technologies in 1981, we began at once to merge concurrent engineering practices with cost-effective manufacturing, injection molding techniques and integrated quality assurance. The result was a solid reputation for superior results on budget and on schedule, with none of the “over-the-wall” transfer of information that puts so many projects at risk.

In the late 1990s, we added leading edge expertise in the rapidly expanding applications of polymer optics. Almost immediately we began to focus on medical, defense and biometrics applications. Our emphasis on optics as key to total solutions continue to evolve to the point that in 2006, we formally changed our name to Syntec Optics.

Today Syntec Optics is the largest independent custom manufacturer of polymer optics in the United States, serving a worldwide customer base. Our location in Rochester, NY, the home of myriad top imaging companies, gives us many advantages — including early access to new optical technologies and a sophisticated infrastructure of imaging professionals and research institutions.
