For more than 50 years, steute Schaltgeräte has been developing and manufacturing sensors and control units that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The steute portfolio encompasses a wide range of standard products, as well as numerous customized devices, and is divided into four business areas: Wireless, Automation, Extreme and Meditec.

All four steute business fields are geared to collaborate closely with end users and to take customer requirements into account from the development stage onwards. To this end, improved premises were built in late 2012. The new Development Centre on-site in Löhne provides ample space for around 50 hard and software developers and state-of-the-art test equipment.

As a medium-sized company, steute can react quickly and flexibly to market trends and customer requirements. This is one of the reasons why the company continues to grow, together with a specialization in well-defined, particularly complex tasks related to automation technology and man-machine interfaces.

Much of the growth is due to an increased presence in new, international markets. steute has subsidiaries in 11 countries worldwide and sales and service partners in a further 30. At the end of 2012, not only the new Development Centre but also a production plant in Shanghai/China was opened. All this expansion has created a need for new staff. steute currently employs approx. 300 people worldwide.
