Compact Design Compatible with High Optical Performance

Greenough Optical System

The SZ51 and SZ61 microscopes have 5:1 and 6.7:1 zoom ratios (zoom range 0.8x to 4x and 0.67x to 4.5x), in that order. They are reasonably priced and still provide a maximum resolving power in this price range. The microscopes are available with either 60 or 45 inclination angles for observation.

Using the Greenough optical design, all zoom bodies integrate the newest distortion- and aberration-free optics that set a new benchmark in optical quality and, at the same time, maintain excellent operability.

The V-shape optical path guarantees a slim zoom body—which is perfect for stand-alone use or for incorporating in other equipment.

Three-Dimensional Viewing

The optimum inward angle of the microscopes provides the right combination of depth of focus and high level flatness for three-dimensional (3D) viewing. Even a specimen that has considerable depth can be brought into focus fully, that is, from top to bottom for more rapid inspection.

Observation Images with High-Color Fidelity

Thanks to excellent optical coatings, users can obtain true color images with fine detail.

ESD Measures for Protecting Devices from Static Electricity

The central unit and key accessories can rapidly remove static electricity with the use of antistatic coatings and materials. This prevents any electrostatic damage caused to a specimen being observed.

Microscope Bodies According to Users’ Application

The SZ51 and SZ61 microscopes are available as 60-degree or 45-degree oriented models that are well-suited for use with OEM integration or bench stands. The SZ61TR is a video/digital camera ready with an integrated c-mount. This c-mount is optically matched to the zoom body, ensuring parfocal, vivid images upon attaching a camera.

“Off the Bench” Illuminator

The exclusively developed fiber-optic light source can be directly mounted onto the stand for a clutter-free workspace. The system is available with single interlock, double interlock, or ring light guides and offers bright illumination that lasts for a long time.

Coaxial Reflected Light Illumination System

The SZ61 microscope integrates a 1/4λ plate and a polarizer,allowing users toview their specimens more easily, the specimensare otherwise hard to analyze under oblique reflected light illumination.

Curved, ultra-slim stands equipped with contoured base plates offer easy access to specimens, while decreasing the stress and strain caused to users’ arms and hands.

For assembly or inspection of bigger samples, Evident provides a wide range of boom stands that are ESD safe and modifiable. The company also supplies large platform stands, which, if needed, can accommodate auxillary posts of 400 and 600 mm.

Recording and Storage of Digital Images

The complete range of digital cameras from Evident can be easily adapted to the SZ61TR and are available as PC-controllable or stand-alone systems. Software modules range from simple capture to report generation, measurement, and database archiving.
