Spot Measurement with the Prometheus Colorimeter

Prometheus is a solution for all forms of display spot measurement. This colorimeter series was created to meet user demands by incorporating flicker and response time measurement options into the color measurements.

It has a greater dynamic range and faster sampling speed than the trusted Hyperion colorimeter. Prometheus, like the rest of the Admesy series, is built to last and is simple to incorporate into production applications. It also has a good price-performance ratio.

Lens Options

Prometheus is available with a variety of lenses. Collimating lenses with spot sizes of 10 mm, 20 mm, and 27 mm are available for general display measurements. A focusing lens variant with a 2.1 mm or 5 mm spot size is also available for small areas of interest or unique applications such as camera-under-display testing.

The table below divides the various lens options into three fundamental sensitivity ranges, which correspond to the necessary measurement speeds. When compared to the “Standard Sensitivity” options, Prometheus colorimeters with “Improved Sensitivity” have around a 3 to 4 times higher sensitivity.

The “Highest Sensitivity” device options are approximately 2.5 to 3 times more sensitive than the “Improved Sensitivity” device options. The product specifications include precise performance metrics.
