Specialty Silicone Products, Inc. was founded in 1989 by four employees of GE Silicones. They recognized that several niche markets were emerging based on silicone technology and no commercial solution existed to meet this growing demand. They combined their experience to design and manufacture EMI RFI Conductive Silicones for Electronics/Military applications; Silicone/PTFE Septa liners and caps for Pharmaceutical customers; and custom silicone compounds for Industrial Gasket Fabricators all tailored to meet their exact specifications. Today SSP has a reputation for developing “Silicones that Work” and delivering them to our customers with speed, flexibility, and service.

Some of these products were designed to meet demanding specifications such as: Mil-G-85328 Type B, a Shielding application only a few manufacturers have been approved by the DLA on the Qualified Products List (QPL); MIL-R-25988, a military and aerospace gasket material designed for harsh environments associated with fuel, oil, and seal salt exposure; and an approved manufacturer of 510(k) Medical Devices.

SSP has 70 employees following our 2015 completion of a 19,000 square feet expansion to our manufacturing space. Our total facility footprint is now 54,000 square feet . Our product portfolio has expanded to include:
