Dropping Point Determination with One Click™
A high-quality end product can only be achieved through quality control of raw materials and of intermediate and final products. Users can use the METTLER TOLEDO Dropping Point Systems to measure the softening point or dropping point of asphalt, pitch, resins, polymers, and many more materials to determine their quality and purity.
It is also possible to analyze these properties in research and development to identify optimal use and process temperatures of various materials.
Measurements Made Easy
The Dropping Point Excellence available from METTLER TOLEDO features a simple design, thus being easy and intuitive to use. The color user interface offers clear information, with the feasibility to display users’ SOPs on the instrument. Users can carry out experiments from −20 °C to 400 °C. Methods and results can be stored directly on the instrument. Each measurement can be quickly started by using the customizable shortcuts provided on the home screen.

With the Dropping Point Excellence, users never miss a measurement. They can observe the experiment in real time through a video or replay it to check their results. Users can also view the results directly on the color touchscreen once the experiment is completed. Certified reference substances can be used to verify precision and performance through calibration.

Users can accelerate sample preparation by using the novel tools from METTLER TOLEDO—up to four samples can be prepared at the same time and contamination can be prevented. Time can be saved by automatically measuring two samples at the same time and by printing or exporting results directly once an experiment is completed.
