Silios Technologies

SILIOS designs and manufactures micro-optics for laser beam shaping and visible/NIR spectrometry applications. The company has been established in 2001. SILIOS is a spin-off from another bigger SME involved in the field of microelectronics (Ion Beam Services, 65 people, annual turnover: 7 M€). SILIOS Technologies takes benefit from the microelectronic technologies, tools and methods to manufacture micro-optical components. Those components address various fields of applications: beam shaping for medical laser, tooling laser or scientific lasers, micro-spectrometer applications, aberration generation... The company is engaged in many research fields covering micro-optics manufacture and optical instruments development. Each year SILIOS invests more than 20% of its annual turnover in R&D to develop leading edge solutions. In particular, SILIOS started the development of its COLOR SHADES® technology for the manufacturing of multi-spectral filters few years ago. The technology found applications in the field of spectrometry and microscopy. The company aims now to enter the field of imaging and multi-spectral imaging.
