Sample Cutter: Sample Preparation for RPA, MDR and Mooney Instruments

Sample preparation for MDR, RPA and Mooney instruments is made simple and safe with the VS volumetric sample cutter. This dual-action pneumatic system allows the preparation of uncured rubber specimens of a user-defined volume. Making samples in this well-controlled fashion decreases operational variability, majorly enhancing overall experimental precision.

The VS is available as a standard version with a closing pressure of 6 bar. The sample is initially compressed to the user-prescribed thickness and then cut to the die diameter. The sample volume and closing pressure are user adjustable. Safe operation is ensured at all times by two handed operation and lateral guards.
