The extensive vacuum furnace range offered by Carbolite Gero covers vacuum chamber furnaces, bottom loading furnaces, laboratory vacuum furnaces, vacuum hood furnaces and vacuum tube furnaces. It is possible to use each furnace with either an inert gas or a reactive gas. The majority of products in the vacuum furnace range are available with either graphite, metal or ceramic insulation. On request, graphite models can be configured in order to safely work at a maximum temperature of 3000 °C.
Other options available on particular models at the order stage include advanced software, sophisticated digital controllers and data loggers. These facilitate additional levels of control over the operation of the vacuum furnace and provide complete data recording capabilities. Additionally, in certain cases different pumps, cooling systems and vacuum systems can be provided to meet particular requirements.

Vacuum Furnace Applications
All of the vacuum furnaces feature a robust construction and are capable of providing rapid and highly reliable heating in a controlled atmosphere, making them perfect for several heavy duty industrial and laboratory applications.
Common applications of a vacuum furnace include sintering, annealing, brazing, degassing, drying, soldering, quenching, tempering and hardening. It is also possible to use a vacuum furnace for ceramic inject molding (CIM) or metal injection molding (MIM) as well as siliconization, carbonization, metallization and other industrial processes.
Different vacuum furnaces will be best suited to different functions. The highest possible purity is provided by vacuum hood furnaces, while vacuum furnace models with bottom loading capabilities permit convenient access to samples.
Laboratory vacuum furnaces have a more compact design when compared to other models, that’s why they are best suited for a research environment. The vacuum tube furnace range from Carbolite Gero features a purpose built vacuum furnace for use with hydrogen and an upgraded version of the non-vacuum model.
