31P is a completely natural nucleus that exists abundantly in many organic compounds. The high NMR sensitivity, simple spectra and large chemical shift range of 31P and the lack of common background signals (such as solvent signals) make 31P NMR suitable for routine purity assessment and reaction monitoring.

Assaying Sample Purity
The highly sensitive Spinsolve® benchtop spectrometer in combination with the simple phosphorus spectrum makes Spinsolve® Phosphorus suitable for purity assays.
Reaction Monitoring
It takes 5h for oxidation of triphenylphosphine into triphenylphosphine sulfide. Monitoring the reaction is simple due to the clean separation and minimum number of peaks in the spectrum.
