Using Raman spectroscopy, individual spectral 'fingerprints' materials can be obtained. This type of spectroscopy is generally used in medical, pharmaceutical, and chemistry domains to offer data through which molecules can be detected.
To provide its customers with optimal performance at an affordable price, Avantes has collaborated with two different partners to provide three simple Raman bundles, which comprise a unique laser-probe combination (785 nm) that supplies improved signals, a high-performing spectrometer (three different versions)and an exceptional software package to study the Raman spectra.
Type of Measurements
The Raman technique is applied to several different materials. The Avantes bundles are exceptionally good for the use of liquids and powders. For extremely weak signals and possibly along with fluorescence background, the AvaRaman-D (Highsense Bundle) using Avantes’ AvaSpec-HERO is suggested (improved signal-to-noise performance and higher quantum efficiency in NIR).
The thermo-electric-cooled (TEC) spectrometer is suggested in case weak Raman signals occur (longer than 5 seconds of integration time). This spectrometer is added in the AvaRaman-E (Performance Bundle). When there are powerful signals (alcohol-based liquids and aromatic compounds), the AvaRaman-F (Basic Bundle) is handy to carry out the measurement.

Types of Bundles
Three different bundles are available, and each setup includes a specialized spectrometer to suit the application needs of users. The three bundles share the following features.
For Excitation
AvaLaser785 (including 785-nm laser safety goggles) has an ultra-high throughput integrated Raman probe. This innovative device features a built-in wavelength stabilized laser source along with beam shaping optics, Raman filter packsand high-efficiency Raman spectra collection optics.

The AvaSoft-Raman: This is a basic standalone software that helps acquire spectra.
