R+S Automotive GmbH is strategically orientating its market presence with the changing automotive industry. R+S Automotive GmbH carries on with the approximately 60 years of experience of its sister company R+S Technik GmbH and is one of the leading companies in the manufacture of machines and tools for the production of interior and exterior components for the automotive industry. We develop flexible and individual solutions that enable our globally active customers to produce high-quality interior and exterior parts – for cars, vans and trucks. Our special customer orientation and first-class product level were confirmed by TÜV NORD CERT GmbH with the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certificate for the professional use of a quality management system.

The company history of R+S Automotive GmbH reflects the development from a locally active mould maker to an internationally active system provider of automation, plant and tooling concepts.

Since the foundation of our company 60 years ago, we have continued to refine our know-how and have since developed many industry-changing innovations. For example, R+S is considered to be the co-inventor of natural fibres in automotive construction and through flexible and individual machine and tool concepts such as our PPI-Technology (Pressing – Pinching – Injecting), companies today save time, money and resources.

The headquarter of R+S Automotive GmbH in Bocholt is home not only to the management but also to sales, design, development, service and project management. This is also where the technical centre is located, where on an area of more than 1.100 m², the individual system and tool concepts can also be tested by R+S Automotive GmbH together with the customers under real production conditions. Production takes place at the site in the Czech Republic (OLBRICH CZ spol., s r.o., trading as R+S Automotive CZ s.r.o. since 12 January 2021). The market-leading importance of R+S Automotive is underlined by the annual turnover of around 45 million Euro.

The performance of R+S Automotive GmbH is reflected in the technologies of pressing, punching/cutting, laminating, foaming, thermo-moulding, edge folding and automation.
