Our mission is to provide our customers with the necessary means to gain and maintain market leadership in their respective markets.

We design and manufacture world-class Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) and turn them into optical modules and sub-systems. By combining these unique optical engines with the truly innovative skills of our team, we contribute to our partners success in a variety of markets, such as telecommunication, life science and interrogation systems.

An example of Proximions powerful technology is our unique Acousto-Optic Scanning Filter (AOSF), scanning the entire C-band (1530-1565 nm) in less than 100 microseconds. Having superb filter characteristics, the AOSF forms an ideal optical engine for high-speed spectroscopy, swept lasers and sensor interrogation systems.

Not being limited to specific wavelengths or filter shapes our optical engines can be used in a plethora of applications. We have developed concepts and recipes for test and measurement of fiber-optic communication links, DWDM components, dispersion management, absorption spectroscopy, optical coherence tomography, alarms and structural monitoring.
