Phosphate Resources Limited (PRL) trading as Christmas Island Phosphates are the leading producers of phosphate rock in the Southeast Asian region. Their main operations is located on Christmas Island, an external territory of Australia. Phosphate mining commenced on Christmas Island over one hundred years ago, and PRL now forms the modern day part of its deep cultural heritage. PRL maintains a strong sense of culture and tradition, and has a strong corporate responsibility to the Island, both in their community support and environmental responsibilities.
