Preparative TLC Plates for Purification

Prep TLC, also known as Preparative TLC, is utilized on a bigger scale than regular TLC to purify and isolate analytes from contaminants.

Prep TLC is a quick, low-cost, and effective process for purifying tiny amounts of material. It enables the fast separation, isolation, and recovery of components in a reaction mixture.

Different layer thicknesses (500 µm, 1000 µm, and 2000 µm) are offered for preparative reasons.

A slightly coarser material is employed for 2000 µm preparative layers.

The isolated spots can be scraped from a prep plate, collected, and used for additional downstream analysis.
