In 1982, Paul Stohner started Powerhouse Equipment & Engineering. Recognizing the potential of this upstart company, many experienced professionals, including engineers, burner technicians, boilermakers and pipefitters, began to join the Powerhouse team.

Initially the company was a manufacturer's representative selling boiler room products and parts, but in the next few years, rental systems were fabricated, steam boilers were rebuilt and sold, new units were sold and installed, and other services of the company, such as burner service and boiler repairs, expanded exponentially. A solid customer base was soon formed and continued to expand due to continuous customer referrals and a growing knowledge of Powerhouse's services.Powerhouse is a leading expert and innovator in the boiler business, powering companies with boiler services and rentals across North America and the world.
