Potomac, founded in 1982, began as the inventor/patent holder and manufacturer of the waveguide Excimer laser. This revolutionary new tool positioned Potomac as an innovator and ultimately as a leader in microfabrication of miniaturized products. Potomac recognized the potential of commercial microfabrication in 1997 so we established our MicroFabrication Solutions (MFS) unit to provide competitive advantages through technological advancements and production economies of scale for our Partners. This visionary thinking has progressed with our First to Market (F2M) product development program. As a leader in microfabrication technology, Potomac, in 2002, developed a deposition capability for Mesoscale (1-100 microns) electronics (culmination of the DARPA MICE Program). Today, Potomac is the first to offer precision direct write deposition in addition to state-of-the-art micromachining.
