PMDTechnologies GmbH was founded in 2002, a 50% subsidiary of Audi Electronics Venture GmbH. PMDTec sees its tasks and responsibilities in the further advancement of PMD (Photonic Mixer Device) technology, in particular:

• Digital system and chip design,• System-on-Chip (SoC) integration,• Sensor module development,• Development of complex camera solutions,• 3D Visualization and 3D Image Processing.

The unique selling points of the PMDTechnology are constantly secured by an active patent strategy. At the same time the quality of the developments and products is guaranteed by the concept of a "fabless" company. Design and development is undertaken by PMDTec in close cooperation with their customers. However, series production is carried out by well-known, qualified foundries, which guarantee high quality standards as well as excellent delivery times.
