Phoenix Photonics was incorporated in July 2002 to develop, manufacture and supply optical fiber components and modules to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. As the name suggests the company was born from the ashes of one of the many victims of the telecommunications market slow down to focus on core technology capabilities important to the anticipated reviving market.

Phoenix Photonics aims to be a premiere supplier of optical fiber components and multi-functional fiber modules (super components), based on its proprietary optical fiber evanescent field technology, vested in the founders. From the current product base the development roadmap allows sustainable growth for optimum market positioning.

Phoenix Technology is a disruptive technology, utilizing the optical fiber as the base substrate on which to build a range of optical fiber components, the functionality of which can be designed to meet operational requirements. The technology fuses the benefits of the all-fiber approach of; low loss, low PDL, high return loss with the benefits of integrated optical technologies; small footprint, multi-channel, multi-functionality, low cost manufacture.
