Nanomakersis an innovative company that investigates new markets and implements its products into new materials. The companydesigns,develops and commercializes patented silicon-based nanoparticlesformechanical reinforcementof materials (metallic alloys, elastomers) andimprovement ofenergy densityof Lithium-ion batteries with nano-composites Si-C in anode material.

Discovered at the MIT in 1980 and taken over by the CEA in 1985, theLASER PYROLYSISallows theproduction of high purity nanopowders. After 25 years of development at the CEA, this technology (unique) has been used byNanomakerssince 2010 and has allowedthe production of nanoparticles on anindustrial scalesince 2012.

Nanopowders of silicon carbide(SiC) andsilicon(Si) produced byNanomakerssignificantlyincrease the performance of industrial materials. The nano SiC can improvemechanical, thermal andchemical resistance of materialssuch aspolymers, metals andcomposites.The nano Si or Si coated with carbon doubles the energy density of Lithium-ion batteries.
