Multi-Quantum Cascade Laser System - MIRcat-QT™ Mid-IR Laser

The MIRcat-QT brings higher spectral repeatability, high-speed tuning, longer-wavelength options and improved thermal management to the first generation of the MIRcat laser, which is a field-proven multi-quantum cascade laser system.

The MIRcat-QT is a complete one-box, fully automated system boasting a flexible, modular design which permits factory configuration of up to four pulsed or continuous wave/pulsed modules. It also offers the choice to upgrade or add modules later.

The MIRcat-QT provides wavelength coverage to > 13 µm and a tuning range approaching 1000 cm^-1 (> 6 µm). It also gives unmatched, industry-leading performance in critical areas such as output power up to 1 W, tuning speeds of > 5000 cm^-1/s, and TEM₀₀ beam quality to permit high-efficiency fiber coupling. Lower-noise drive electronics and a new, higher-precision tuning mechanism produce wavelength repeatability as high as < 0.1 cm^-1 and CW RIN as low as -140 dBc/Hz.
