Modulight's communication lasers are used mainly as transmitter lasers in fiber optic networks. Uncooled laser diode families at the main optical windows (around 1310 nm and 1550 nm) provide communication solutions from 2.5 Gb/s to 10 Gb/s transmission speeds. Modulight transmitter laser products are also employed in applications other than telecom and datacom, such as test and measurement, instrumentation and weather monitoring.
