Today, very few companies can boast a successful history of innovation spanning over eighty years. At Meller Optics, formerly the Adolf Meller Company, our tradition of excellence began in 1921 in Providence, Rhode Island manufacturing hard crystalline materials such as Ruby and Sapphire for the jewelry industry. The war years required innovation in the form of jewel bearing fabrication for the US government. Building on our leadership in the fabrication of Sapphire materials, Meller Optic¡¦s business evolved into the manufacture of high tolerance laser, industrial, and medical optics utilizing a full range of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared materials.

Very few companies have committed the resources that we have at Meller Optics to the manufacture of optical and electro-optical components. Our manufacturing processes and the services we provide are technical and complex, but the principle behind what we do is very simple. We take materials that are difficult to work with and fabricate functional components that meet the exacting specifications of our customers.
