Measuring Optical Components with the Verifire Precise Vibration-Robust Interferometer System

The Verifire™ interferometer system from ZYGO​ offers quick high-precision measurements of spherical or plano surfaces, and transmitted wavefront of optical systems and assemblies. It can measure glass or plastic optical components - like lenses, flats, and prisms - and even precision-machined ceramic and metal surfaces.

The Verifire™ system is devised based on a true laser Fizeau design and expands upon ZYGO's unparalleled experience in surface form metrology. The on-axis configuration integrated with ZYGO's patented acquisition algorithms and full-featured Mx™ metrology software facilitates high-precision surface form metrology with advanced analysis capabilities.

SmartAveraging™ Technology

Measurement averaging is an effective technique to reduce the effects of random noise sources such as air turbulence, however, establishing the best number of averages can be complicated, where too many wastes time and too few reduces the effectiveness.

SmartAveraging™ technology is an exclusive feature of ZYGO's Mx™ software. This feature automatically calculates and uses the optimum number of averages. SmartAveraging technology minimizes operator variability, eliminates guesswork, and ensures confidence in the measurement result.

QPSI™ Vibration-Tolerant Interferometry

ZYGO's proprietary QPSI vibration-tolerant interferometry is enabled by a high-power laser and optimized system design, ensuring reliable "ripple-free" phase measurements in vibration-prone environments. Also, it can be relied upon to provide precise surface metrology on the production floor and in the QC lab.

Stabilized, Long-life, High-Power Laser

The proprietary laser source of ZYGO is designed and manufactured in Middlefield, CT. The laser exceeds the power and lifetime of the commercially available HeNe lasers that are typically used in laser interferometer products. This laser source has a lifetime rating that exceeds 60,000 hours. It also minimizes the downtime and maximizes the user’s ROI.
