Materials Modification Inc (MMI) is a progressive company engaged in the research and development of advanced materials utilizing novel processing techniques. We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions in materials science based on nanocrystalline metals and ceramics. Our goal is to create a market niche in value added products using nanocrystalline materials. MMI's primary intent therefore is to develop technology that leads to products with significant value.

MMI personnel have published over 300 papers in archival journals and have organized several international conferences (including published proceedings) on materials and processes through various U.S. and international professional societies. They also edit the journals "Materials and Manufacturing Processes" and "Surface Engineering", and several books in the areas of "Surface Modification Technologies" and "Processing and Fabrication of Advanced Materials."
