Lucapa Diamond Company

Lucapa is a unique growing diamond producer with high-value producing mines in Angola (Lulo alluvial mine) and Lesotho (Mothae kimberlite mine).

Lucapa is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), with a secondary listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

Lulo and Mothae both produce large and high-value diamonds, generating >75% of their revenues from the recovery of +4.8 carat stones.

Diamond production has been scaled up at both mines, with combined recoveries from Lulo and Mothae forecast to exceed 60,000 carats in 2021.

Lulo has produced >20 +100 carat diamonds to date and is one of the world’s highest average US$ per carat alluvial diamond producers. Lulo has produced Angola’s two biggest recorded diamonds weighing 404 carats and 227 carats.

Lucapa and its Lulo partners are also searching for the primary kimberlite sources of these exceptional alluvial gems, with the exploration focus moving to the Canguige catchment area following highly-encouraging results received in February 2020.

Lucapa’s second high-value mine, the 1.1 Mtpa Mothae kimberlite project in diamond-rich Lesotho, commenced production in January 2019 and has recently been expanded by 45% to 1.6Mtpa andhas alsoproduced five +100 carat diamonds to date in its short life.
