Equipped with the Sony^® IMX183 rolling shutter CMOS sensor, a resolution of 20 megapixels, and back illumination technology, these new cameras excel in a range of imaging applications with low or changing light conditions.

About Sony Rolling Shutter CMOS Camera Technology

Sony CMOS sensors with rolling shutters enable high-sensitivity imaging capability. With back-illuminated sensor technology, users can achieveexcellent color reproduction, dynamic range, and low noise.

By applying the photo-sensitive surface on top of the metal wiring instead of the normal layout where light is blocked around the photodiode, a greater amount of light can reach the sensor. This type of system enhances the sensitivity of the camera by having an all-around higher level of light when imaging.
